Tanya Cellucci’s approach to therapy is heavily driven by the concepts behind Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). CBT focuses on reframing negative thoughts into more positive thought patterns with the goal of improving mood, and relieving anxiety and/or stress. With CBT, we not only work on reframing the thoughts, we also look at engaging in productive behaviors that can help an individual overcome difficulty in their lives. CBT is considered one of the most effective approaches for many mental illnesses, specifically anxiety and depression. Tanya’s approach is very goal-oriented, as she will teach you and practice with you strategies and skills to help you to overcome your current difficulties or struggles, whatever they may be, as well as be prepared to manage and overcome any future obstacles you may encounter in your life. In addition to CBT, Tanya uses other therapies inclusive of; Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive therapy, Interpersonal therapies, Positive Psychology, Solution focused-brief therapies, and many other approaches.
