STOP - Smoking Cessation - Program

Deciding to quit smoking is a big step towards better health and a longer life.  Quitting smoking benefits both you and your family. But, it’s not easy! We understand that. We are here to support you.
Today there are more former smokers than current smokers. Our enthusiastic staff are
here to help you become a former smoker.

How we can help you

Once you are ready to become smoke free, you will be able to attend individual and/or group sessions. During these sessions, the following topics will be explored:

STOP Smoking Program 

What: Ready to or thinking of quitting smoking or reducing your smoking? Receive help through counselling and possible medications. Receive FREE Nicotine Replacement Therapy (Patches, Lozenges, Gum, Inhaler) through our STOP Program (In collaboration with CMHA). 

Make a Quit or Reduction Plan: planning for, getting ready to reduce your cigarettes; planning for, getting ready and setting a quit date; dealing with cravings & withdrawal; strategies to deal with slips and prevent relapse.

Who:  people who are ready to reduce smoking or to quit smoking

When: on-going 1:1 support
