Building Self Compassion Workshop

Building Self Compassion Workshop

Building Self-Compassion Workshop

Having and giving oneself self-compassion is no-different from having and showing compassion for others. Self-compassion involves comforting or supporting yourself when you are experiencing a difficult time, encountering failure, or feeling down on yourself, the same way you would if a friend or family member was going through the same thing. Mindfulness self-compassion involves paying attention to the present moment with a complete acceptance of our thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations and then offering ourselves understanding, acceptance, and compassion to deal with difficulties in our lives.  Research has found that self-compassion is strongly associated with positive emotional well-being; less anxiety, depression, and stress, as well as the maintenance of healthy habits such as diet and exercise, and satisfying personal relationships.

This group can be helpful for any individual, but it can be specifically helpful for those going through difficulties whether it be emotionally or physically. Whether you are dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, emotional loss, or physical pains due to chronic illness or disease, learning the act of self-compassion can be helpful to deal with what you are going through.
